Do you know someone whose children would benefit from this Saturday morning school to improve
their knowledge of the French-speaking world, and their French reading, writing, and grammar skills, while
enjoying fun activities with little friends their own age? This page explains our admission criteria and fees.
Admission Policy
The school takes children between the ages of 2 and 15. Classes are given entirely in French and it is therefore vital that the pupils should understand the language. The school is specifically aimed at children who have at least one French-speaking parent who speaks French to them, or who have recently lived in a French-speaking country for a significant amount of time.
The teachers will perform a preliminary interview during the pre-term meeting to determine whether new children have sufficient language skills to attend, and all new admissions will have a trial period of five sessions (half a term). This will show whether La Marelle is the best environment for the child, or whether they might benefit from a class aimed at English-speaking children.
Classes
The 3-hour sessions will be held on 10 Saturday mornings a term in the Fleetdown Primary School in Dartford. Please see the page about our curriculum for more information about what we will be teaching and how the classes are organised.
You can see the dates of all our lessons for the upcoming year on our calendar.
